Who we are

Kate CopestakeKate Copestake is director and founder of Copestake Ltd, the public relations, journalism and content writing company founded in 2004 and based in Wolverhampton, UK. She is an NTCJ trained journalist.

Kate’s experience with the SME sector began in 1986 when she co-founded the computer graphics and animation company Synthetic Dimensions Ltd with her late partner, Kevin Bulmer. Kevin was the writer and creative force behind many award winning computer games. Kate prepared Synthetic for its OFEX and subsequent AIM flotation, in 2000 and 2001 respectively, by creating a five year PR campaign to raise the company profile and attract investors. The company achieved a float valuation of £12.6 million. Kevin went on to develop digital content for the new 3D broadcast formats and further development of lenticular and hologram art for the licensing and security sectors. The company closed in 2012 following Kevin’s death aged 49. www.syndime.com

Kate initially trained and worked as a two and three dimensional designer for the manufacturing sector and has a complex understanding of many manufacturing processes including porcelain, metals, resin and glass.

In addition to running Copestake Ltd PR and Business Communications, Kate writes features for online, print and broadcast. Her work includes subjects as diverse as business, satire, travel, historic landscape and art.

Kate is a past vice president of the Wolverhampton division of the Black Country Chamber of Commerce and a past 288 director of the Black Country Chamber of Commerce. Kate edited Prosper magazine, the official bi-monthly publication of the Chamber, for over two years. www.blackcountrychamber.co.uk
