Prosper Magazine is the Official Publication of the Black Country Chamber of Commerce. With a print run of approximately 5,000, it is distributed free to all members across the region, with the remainder being distributed to science parks, reception areas and trade shows across the Black Country. Prosper accepts editorial contributions for consideration from members of the BC Chamber.

Published six times a year, Prosper is a A4 36 page glossy, packed with the topics that matter to the region, including news, features and interviews, in addition to regular features highlighting Chamber Services, QES, Skills and Workforce Development, Regeneration, International, Policy and Lobbying, CSR and Events. Its new style is upbeat, impartial, entertaining and informing.

Kate Copestake, director of Copestake Ltd, took over the editorship in spring 2008. She has since completely redesigned the magazine in look, feel and content. In addition to editing and subbing the entire magazine, Kate, a published journalist and feature writer, decides on content and forward feature planning, writes the message from the editor, interviews subjects for lead features, liaises with contributors, writes lead features, sources stories, and designs the cover.

Across 2009, Kate will build Prosper into the voice of Midlands’ businesses, making it THE magazine of choice for business leaders in the region. Kate has nearly 25 years’ experience in running, growing and selling an SME, so she has a thorough grasp of the issues facing today’s businesses.

Guidance for editorial submissions –
• Please put subject matter in the subject line.
• Only stories concerning Black Country Chamber members will be considered.
• Ensuring that all images are of the best quality, professionally taken and no more than 3mb if emailed, will give contributors a better chance of acceptance.
• Please keep all press releases brief and to the point, no more than 500 words unless otherwise agreed.
• Please note that Prosper editorial is always over-subscribed – but we at all times try to represent our membership!
